The Cabana Club South is a community based pool open from late May through September each year. Currently seeking:

Greeters
Lifeguards
Swim Instructors

Work Availability

Hiring priority is given to qualified, responsible applicants with good availability to work days, evenings, and weekends. Priority is also given to applicants who can work the shoulder seasons of May/early June and September.

Interview Schedule

Staff interviews are normally scheduled from approximately March 1 – 15, 2026. Employment offers will be sent out on or before March 30, 2026.

Staff Training

All employees must attend a MANDATORY ORIENTATION on May 9, 2026. The training will provide critical information on each roles responsibilities, standards of conduct and a general understanding of club operations. Thank you.

Lifeguards

Lifeguard applicants must be 15 by May 1st, 2026 to apply.

Rate of Pay: $18.50-20.50/hour depending on experience
Hours: 15-25 hours a week during summer hours

Lifeguard duties include the following:

Actively supervise the pool and enforce safety rules
Perform first aid and water rescues as needed
Clean restrooms, clubhouse and outside area
Test pool chemicals and respond to pool maintenance needs
Attend in-service trainings each month
Must have current Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification

Greeters

Greeter applicants must be 14 by May 1st, 2026 to apply.

Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour
Hours: 4-10 hours a week in June and July, with fewer hours in August and September

Greeter duties include the following:

Welcome and check-in members and guests
Know club rules and policies so that you can answer questions and be helpful to members and guests
Clean restrooms, clubhouse and outdoor space

Swim Instructors

Swim Instructor applicants must be 15 by May 1st, 2026 to apply.

Rate of Pay: $18.50-20.50/hour depending on experience
Hours: 10-20 hours/week. Must commit to 2 week sessions at a time that run Monday-Thursday at the same time.

Swim instructors may also work concurrently as a lifeguard.

Swim Instructor duties include:

Work with students one-on-one to teach swimming safety and stroke technique
Work with parents and caregivers to develop an appropriate lesson plan for each student
Lifeguard and first aid certification preferred
